Ella Road Talks About Creating Character & Calling Yourself A Writer

Temi sits down with Ella Road, who had her play, The Phlebotomist, staged at the Hampstead Downstairs in 2018, and then in the Main House in 2019. Ella talks about her journey from drama school to being a writer for the stage.
In this episode, Ella openly shares her thoughts on hierarchy in the creative industry as well as what she does to create character, her mental health and calling herself a writer. This is an honest conversation that reveals what Ella Road’s process is like as a playwright.
